Berlinale, Take II
Having been thrilled about Mommy Is Coming being selected for the Berlin International Film Festival 2012, I found out now that another film I shot got in to Berlinale:
Rodicas’, by director Alice Gruia will have its world premiere there. It was so much fun making it.
And so much has happened since. My congratulations to the team and: See you there!

Berlinale 2012
How will technical setups change your story? Director Cheryl Dunye and I had a great time exploring this with students at the California College of the Arts, where Cheryl holds a seat as Associate Professor. – Here some images of a feature we shot together, Mommy Is Coming, which will have its world premiere at Berlinale 2012.
Team-Premier
nicht weit von mir (not far from me) will be screened for cast&crew on the 18th of July in Berlin and on the 21st of July in Munich. Please get in touch to secure your seat.
Cast&Crew Premiere in Berlin
nicht weit von mir (not far from me), a feature I shot in 2009/2010 in Bavaria, Germany, will be screened in Berlin for all supporters, cast&crew. If you’d like to participate as a gust, please contact me for details.
Bigger Budgets – Bigger Explosions.
Re-designing my page, I found another trailer of a film I shot a few years back in Australia. Action, thriller… was fun to do it. Especially with a lead as lovely as Andy McPhee.
Since the quality is unfortunately very poor, I’ll probably stick with my shorter version of a trailer…but nice to see, no?
Grading of DSLR feature
Thanks to D-Facto Motion kindly sponsoring us we can grade nicht weit von mir this week on Scratch in a lovely suite with projection. Having shot on DSLR I expected all sorts of major problems – especially when doing secondaries or having larger tweaks. But so far all goes surprisingly well and the 5D with all its pros and cons has not let me and colorist Sebastian Wild down. Watch nicht weit von mir (working title Andererseits) here or here.
2010
…is heading out the door. January is waiting with grading of not far from me kindly sponsored by D-Facto Motion and a fun project in Brussels: Munich based artist and curator Christiane Huber is taking me to shoot for the Burning Ice Festival – Cultural Response to Climate Change. This year the festival holds in the bank next door an Un-Economic Summit (It’s the Economy, Stupid!) focussing on Prosperity without Growth. The Changing Tents by radical_hope will hold together the bank activities and the theatre program in Kaaitheater on both sides of the canal.
Seasons greetings from one of the latest movies I was DP of. Thanks for stopping by in 2010, see you in the New Year and Guten Rutsch as we say in German.
